Early puppy training is extremely important. Training teaches puppies where their limits are at a young age. Also, you are able to communicate who is in control (who is “top dog”). Early training also helps the owner understand why puppies behave the way they do, and how to deal with their behaviours and issues. Ultimately, this will eliminate frustration that owners have with their dogs, resulting in fewer pound and shelter dogs. Remember always: Keep it fun and simple. Don’t forget that the puppy is just now learning everything, too!

Best Friends Canine College offers a variety of group, private or while-boarded obedience training programs for pooches of all ages. From Puppy Kindergarten to advanced positive training, our experienced instructors will show you that it’s never too late to teach your dog new tricks.

We have two courses that we have put together here. We can also customize a course for you if you would like. They only difference between the two courses that we have put together would be the amount of commands your dog would learn. One course comes with 13, the other has 21 obedience commands and both courses would address any and all behavioral issues. There are no time limit courses, so we go at your dog’s rate of speed. You come in once a week until you achieve your goals.

Agility, America’s Fastest Growing Sport is going to the dogs! This sport is great fun for both you and your dog, played for fun, competition or both. Both Handler and dog are taught to work as a team while maneuvering safely through the agility courses. Puppies learn to play without jumping until they are one year of age. Our goal is to improve your handling abilities through proven dog training techniques.
